The club participated in the 27th annual RAILS IN THE ROCKIES train show, which was held on September 21th and 22th, 2024 at the Estes Park Event Center in Estes Park, Colorado. The show, organized by the Estes Valley Model Railroaders, featured working exhibits of all gauges from the tiny “Z” to the toy train “G” gauge along with British and German railroads. The show also included fun family activities such as the Estes Club “Kids Layout”, the Seek and Search game, the LEGO Layout and the Youth in Model Railroading layouts. The town of Estes Park provided free shuttle service between the show and the Visitor Center and Bond Park.

Overall the show was great, and the weather was ideal all weekend.  Attendance was light for this show, but the layout setup went well and trains ran really well.  We did a little maintenance while at the show touching up the black on the back of the modules and the backdrops.
