Club Seminar Series: DCC Overview

In our first installment of the Club Seminar series (see story here) announced for 2018 we'll be providing a DCC Overview following our January club meeting on the 20th that will provide an overview of how to use the Lenz DCC system on the layout. If you are still struggling or new to using the club's Lenz DCC system at a show this session will be ideal.

We'll cover the basics of using a LH-100, LH-90 tethered throttles and our CVP RF1300 wireless throttles to runs trains during a show.You will gain an understanding how the DCC system works. We'll contrast some of the similarities between Lenz, Digitrax and NCE as a reference.

You'll learn troubleshooting step along with best practices in taking care of the throttles and tethered plug locations in the modules. We'll also cover how to double-head and consist locomotives how to operate switches and how to program a locomotive on the programming track. At the end of the session we'll have a hand-on demo and field any Q&A that the members have.
