John Lewin’s Train Collection

The Lewin family contacted the club last week regarding the sale of John’s collection of trains. We’ll be giving folks in the club first crack at the items for sale before taking the remaining items to the swap meeting and eventually to auction. I’ve got a list of the items and working with the family on the pricing and will provide to the members once its complete. John had over 300 ready-to-run cars, roughly 100 engines and over 700 unassembled kits (mostly roundhouse).

John was a long-time member of the club since 2000 passed away in October 2015. He was a master at casting and mold making. Many of the rocks, walls, and bridge abutements the club uses on modules were cast from molds fabricated by John.
