Each year the club attends several train shows either along the Colorado front range or regionally. In a typical year the club will do 5 to 6 train events. Below is the listing of train shows we have planned, and their status

We were excited to return in 2024 to the long-standing annual Model Train Expo in its 47th year, hosted by the Boulder Model Railroad Club in Longmont, Colorado. This unique three-day show is held in conjunction with a Gem & Mineral Show so there will be a plethora of vendors showcasing jewelry, fossils and geologic items along with model railroading items. Definitely making it the perfect opportunity to find unique and intriguing Christmas gifts.

January 27th – 28th, 2024
Colorado Springs Event Center
Colorado Springs, CO.
Our first train show for 2024 was the long running Train Expo Colorado (TECO) Show & Swap Meet in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The show expanded this year features a couple more layouts then in 2023, along with additional vendors, clinics to demonstrate specific modeling skills.

April 6th -7th, 2024
National Western Complex
Denver, CO
The CGWRR attended the Rocky Mountain Train Show – Spring, which was held on April 6th and 7th, 2024 at the National Western Complex in Denver, CO. The show was organized by the Rocky Mountain Division of the Train Collectors Association and featured exhibits of all scales and gauges, as well as clinics, demonstrations, and activities for families and children. The show has become the largest model train show west of the Mississippi River and attracted thousands of visitors and enthusiasts.
The CGWRR displayed our modular layout at the show, which included realistic and detailed scenes. The club received positive feedback and appreciation from the visitors and other exhibitors at the show.
The club’s Facebook page posted several photos and videos of their layout and thanked everyone who supported and attended the show.
