The Colorado & Great Western Modular Railroad is a vibrant HO-scale model railroad club that captures the spirit of Colorado through its evolving modular layouts. The club’s design ethos centers on recreating the diverse, breathtaking scenery found throughout Colorado—from its majestic mountain ranges and sprawling plains to the quaint, historic towns that dot the landscape. Each module contributes to a dynamic, ever-changing tapestry that reflects both the natural beauty and the rich railroad heritage of the Centennial State.

Each year the club attends several train shows either along the Colorado front range or regionally.  In a typical year the club will do 5 to 6 train events.  Below is the listing of train shows we have planned for the year, and their status

We are excited to announce our 2026 train show calendar.  The early line-up of Trains shows for us in 2026 include 4 shows already in the planing phase.  There are two other shows we are just waiting on details and dates before we decide:

The Rocky Mountain Train Show the largest model train show west of the Mississippi River returns to Denver this April, bringing Colorado’s railroading community together for a weekend packed with layouts, vendors, demonstrations, and family‑friendly fun. As one of the largest train shows in the region, it’s a perfect chance to explore new products, meet fellow hobbyists, and experience operating displays that showcase the creativity and craftsmanship of modelers from across the Rockies. Whether you’re deep into the hobby, just getting started, or simply love trains, the show offers something for everyone—and it’s right here in our own backyard.

Tickets at the door are $16.00, no discounts.
Admission is free for Children 12 and under.

Saturday – April 11th 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Parking is Free!

Advanced discount tickets ($13.00)* will be available at hobby store locations after March 1st. Tickets are limited, so please see link above for locations

Discount tickets for Veterans, Active Duty Military and First Responders are available through Vet Tix (while supplies last)
